After the hustle and bustle of the holiday shopping rush, things have quietened down a little on Reid Street, but at TABS, we are gearing up for an exciting year.
Straight off the bat, we’re taking TABS on the road and heading to the MRket trade show in New York this month to show the world what Bermuda Shorts are made of.
You asked, and we listened so this year we’re busy expanding the men’s line to include blazers, long-sleeved polos, dress shirts, and… (wait for it) … TROUSERS! Yup, you read that correctly. Through popular demand we feel it’s time to be a greater part of your Winter wardrobe; especially with the chilly days we’ve been having here in Bermuda lately.
For the ladies, we are working on culottes, split pants, and a couple of chic dresses for an easy Summer outfit.
Don’t worry though, with so much focus on new designs, we haven’t forgotten to show our shorts some love. We’ve been looking at a few new fabrics to give your TABS collection a wider range. As always, we will be introducing new colours in our cotton and cotton/linen lines, but we are also looking at new fabric ideas for shorts that can keep up with a more active lifestyle. Which leads me to our next goal for 2018…
This year, we are striving to become more eco-friendly. Paperless receipts, reusable bags, bags made from recycled and recyclable materials, as well as eco-friendly fabrics are all in the works. Last year we launched our line of Tencel shorts, which is a biodegradable fabric made of wood pulp cellulose from sustainable tree farms, and are planning to introduce new colours in this beautiful material.
Phew! With so much happening, I’d better get to it!
